Butcherme dealt with the subconscious mind, the influences that shape it, and the violence of the human experience. “Tools of the subconscious” were used to hack apart the memories and artifacts packaged by the subconscious. Various songs including gospel, blues, hip-hop, death metal, and talk radio were juxtaposed during the performance to change the mood from moment to moment. The performance was completed by repackaging the butchered artifacts and distributing them to the audience.
