From West Virginia to the West Coast.
Hi there, I’m Joshua Short. I’m an actor, producer, and comedian working and living in the beautiful city of Los Angeles. I grew up in the small town of Summersville, WV and have studied coast to coast to find myself here on the West Coast.
My passion for entertainment began well before I had even contemplated a career path. As a kid, I often found myself making my own skits and short films with friends. That desire to perform has followed me into my professional life where I work to fan the flames of that passion in myself and others.
From Chekhov to improv, I’ve had the wonderful experience to perform in a variety of strong roles. From the clever leading men and crazed villains, to solemn strangers and the goofy comic relief, I bring to my performances a dynamic energy and physicality all my own.

Always the perfectionist, I’m continually seeking ways to improve myself and my craft. Beyond my degrees at West Virginia University, I’ve also trained with amazing actors and mentors at the Stella Adler School of Acting in New York City as well as the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles. I am certified by the SAFD in various forms of stage combat and have used my training to both aid my performances and choreograph for productions. Now that I have relocated permanently to the West Coast, I hope to continue my training as well as my career.
